Machining your timber
At our Epping depot we can consider machining your kiln dried redwood only in quantities in excess of 20m3. There is more flexibility at our Lingfield depot where your kiln dried redwood or whitewood can be machined as well as bespoke profiles. At both depots the maximum section size is 125 x 225mm nominal and products are machined to a target of a minimum of 12 cutter marks per 25mm.
Preservative Pre-Treating your timber
Epping Only. For quantities in excess of 2m3 we can preservative pre-treat your timber with Arch Timber Protections’ ‘green’ Tanalith E®, with or without a water repellent additive (Tanalith E Extra) or ‘brown’ Tanatone®. Please state the desired use class when enquiring about a price for our treatment services.
Re-Sawing your timber
At our Lingfield depot only, we have a high speed re-sawing line, so for quantities in excess of 20m3 we can re-saw your timber very efficiently.
Staining your own timber
At our Epping depot we can consider applying a colour wash stain to your timber. In principle this service is for quantities in excess of 30m3 in three defined colours, grey, brown or black. The Q-Shades colour wash system is designed for outdoor use so during this process it is usual to also adopt one of our preservative treatments after staining.
Creating your own anti-slip timber decking
At our Epping depot we can consider applying a coarse aggregate to your timber decking. The aggregate is bonded to a special resin that is applied to grooves of a suitable size and geometry. In principle this service is for quantities in excess of 10m3. Please note some hardwood species such as massaranduba are not suitable.
